Moot Court Society, a major activity of the Student Bar Association
provides an opportunity to the student to learn, acquire and practice
lawyering skills through organizing and participating in Moot
Courts, Mock trials, etc. at intra class and inter class Moot
Court Competition. The students of the college won several moot
court competitions organized by different universities and Law
Colleges. The college won second position at 9th State Level Moot
Court Competition organized by Bar Council of Maharashtra and
Goa. The students got the prize at Bombay, Baramati, and Goa Moot
Court Competition.
Workshops
on Mooting Skills
Workshops on mooting skills use another handy methodology to groom
students, especially the freshers into the activity of problem
solving, mock trials and mooting competitions. The workshops are
designed to suit the understanding levels of the target audience
and are held through out the year to ensure consistency and gradual
grooming.
Each
workshop package involves separate modules dealing with definite
facets of the skills, such as ‘Effective use of Language’,
‘Fundamentals of Public Speaking’, Fact Management
and the data structuring and Framing contentions and tools to
refute arguments.
Student’s
rate the workshops to be of the topmost efficiency in practical
training and these workshop enjoy an over whelming response from
students studying at all levels, every time they are conducted
during the academic year.

Marshall International Moot Court Competition was held in Chicago,Illinois
(USA) from 23rd to 25th Oct'08
where NLC team scored the highest among all Indian teams.

Stetson International Environmental Moot Court Competition which
was organized at Pune by Surana and
Surana which the college was ranked 4th.

Jessups Moot Court Competition which was organized by Surana and
Surana at Chennai in which the college
proved its efficiency by achieving Best Advocate Award.

students proved their efficiency by winning Fourth Best Speaker
and getting themselves ranked 5th.
